Clustered around The Newarke and De Montfort University campus are some remarkable buildings that tell the story of Leicester from its medieval origins to its manufacturing heyday. Between 11am -3pm The Magazine, Leicester Castle Great Hall, Trinity Hospital Chapel and the DMU Heritage Centre are FREE for visitors to explore. Booking details: Booking essential for guided tour only - Book through Visit Leicester (0116 299 4444) or online at www.goleicestershire.com
Fee details: Guided tours available of The Magazine (11.00 am) and Leicester Castle Great Hall (12.30pm). Tours last one hour and cost £2.50 per building or £4 for tours of both on the same day.
