We Dig the Castle is back for 2017 and is looking for members of the community who would like to experience hands-on-archaeology. We Dig the Castle offers anyone aged 14-plus the opportunity to get involved in archaeology. With close tutor support and carefully designed hands-on workshops, everyone will be excavating within an hour of arriving - and this includes absolute beginners! With a new programme of training sessions, tutorials and workshops, we're offering more ways than ever for participants to experience different areas of archaeology and try out a range of skills. Whether you want to gain or develop skills in excavation, would just like to be part of a dig, have a passion for Nottingham's history, or have always wanted to play a role in uncovering the story of Nottingham Castle, we want you to be part of We Dig the Castle in 2017.
