Dig it! at King Richard III Visitor Centre, Leicester
East Midlands | Leicestershire
Sat 15th Jul 2017 - Sun 30th Jul 2017
Periods: Medieval
Hands-on activityFamily fun

This summer at the King Richard III Visitor Centre younger visitors can discover the techniques used by archaeologists during the Greyfriars dig, which took place in 2012 and uncovered the remains of King Richard III.

During the school holidays children can learn the basics of archaeology and uncover hidden artefacts in our mini archaeology dig pits. Any finds made will need to be recorded, as all good archaeologists do, and awards will be given to all children uncovering anything of interest.
